Thames again, Teddington to Richmond. Swim the Thames Group Missing Link Swim. Several years ago, a group of kindred souls swam the length of the Thames, from the source to Teddington, the end of the non-tidal river. Three years ago, I swam this swim, accompanied by Pauline and Sylvia on her beautiful Maltese rowing boat. Two years ago, I did it again, a beautiful swim. Last year I initiated a swim from Richmond to Kew, a fast and furious race as the tide went out and the river dropped by two meters. This left Jeremy and Hywel stranded, having done the length to Kew, but without Teddington to Richmond. Hence, the missing link swim.
